CIUDAD DEPORTIVA CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY
The VCF Academy will hold several events in February to commemorate 30 years of the training facility
On February 19, 1992, the Ciudad Deportiva opened its doors for the first time. An iconic venue for Valencia Club de Fútbol, it is the place where homegrown and imported talent alike have developed their skills.
To mark the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the Management of the VCF Academy have decided on a series of events to exemplify and illustrate the place that the facility holds in the hearts of Valencianistas.
Event organisation
A photo exhibition will be held, featuring images that explain the incredible evolution and modernisation of the Ciudad Deportiva. Likewise, with the help of the VCF Foundation, a new edition of Forum Algirós will take place, at which numerous legendary players will be present. A VCF Academy awards ceremony will reward the people, teams or departments at the club that exemplify Valencia CF values.
In addition, with the support of the VCF Footballers Association, a match between ex-academy players will be put on to round off the celebrations.
